My photography journey started 10 years ago when I played around on my phone taking pictures at my sister's wedding. My husband bought me a camera for Christmas the following year.

From that moment on my world changed. I saw things differently, looked for moments differently, slowed down and really observed. My first photos of a human were when my first niece was born, followed by a friend's maternity and newborn photos. From their word spread and there was no controlling this train. From newborns to senior portraits, family photos to furry family members, ordinations and commitment ceremonies, proposals and weddings. It's been my great honor to witness and capture so many memories and moments.



As a full time Intervention Specialist (Special Education Teacher), I love getting to work with children and make them comfortable during a session. We will laugh and play, sing silly songs, and make silly noises. I'll have the kiddos be my assistants to capture smiles and laughs from mom and dad!

I strive to capture the “little moments”, the ones you don’t see, the ones so engrained you don’t realize they are happening. The small gestures, the slightest facial expression shift, the quick peek at your partner or child. These are the moments that make the tough times worth it, where love grows, the true connections. My camera isn’t “off” until I’m in my car so I am always ready to capture ‘the shot'. Some of my favorite feedback is when you receive your gallery and say "I didn't know that even happened".

Have you seen my assistant?

If you've been with me on almost any mini session day or large event, you have seen him around. Kenny is my husband of 15 years. We are the terribly cutesy couple that met in high school and always claimed to be "just friends." His Grandma always knew better. Decades later, he is now my partner in life and assistant in business.

You'll likely see him greeting you at a mini-session while I'm finishing with another client, carrying any number of items or props, making sure I don't fall into a lake, making rooster noises to get kiddos to laugh and even lately picking up a camera of his own as my true second shooter. But his number one job is getting forced into taking practice photos at any and all locations and capturing behind the scenes photos during shoots, enjoy some of those over the years below.
